Sia – Move Your Body

Sia is not shy when in comes to January releases. After releasing her album ‘This Is Acting’ in January of 2016, Sia has decided to release an upgraded version of a song from that very same album this year, titled ‘Move Your Body’. The song was originally written for Shakira, but was turnt down by her record label, so Sia decided to keep the song for herself and featured it on her previous album. Skip forward 12 months, and Sia has tweaked a few minor things, and has now put it out there herself!

What was once already a huge dance triumph destined to be a single, is now out there where it should be. The song roars with vocals, trumpets and beats, and you can’t help but get goosebumps to it as it pulsates your ear drums.

Although it’s been tweaked in a few places, is it any better than what it was before? I don’t think so. That’s not necessarily a bad thing either, as the song was just incomparable to begin with.

I kinda get where Sia is going with this, but is it a wise move? It’s a very risky thing to do. Re-releases of songs don’t tend to do very well, but when they do, they do exceedingly well. I believe this is one of those situations where it could go either way, because even though it’s a tremendous song, if it doesn’t get the right promotion and enough airplay and recognition, this song could flop disastrously, however, with the right boost, this song could actually be one of the biggest hits of this year, and in Sia’s career. Hopefully it gets the recognition it deserves and does amazingly well.
